In the summer of 1996, our family started an island "Freaky Talent Show." The "Founding Freaks" possessed such truly freaky talents as webbed toes, the ability to light matches with their toes, tongue tricks, trumpeting sans trumpet, and more. This summer is the 10th Anniversary. Every Thursday night, the island's most freakish occupants gather on the deck of the Lodge to revel in their freakdom. Some acts actually display real talent, others are just goofy, and occasionally you're lucky enough to get something truly freaky.
This summer, to celebrate, we will be taping the acts, announcing awards for who had the best act, and presenting video of the acts right here. So check back come September to see what the 10th Anniversary had to offer. In the mean time, enjoy photos from years gone by:
